Supplying artwork
Supply the file format, page count, finished size, bleed, safe area, orientation and colour setup requested for the product. Keep an original copy of every file you provide.
Files must be complete and free from malware, password restrictions or corruption that prevents reasonable checking and production.
Content and permissions
- You confirm that you own or have permission to reproduce all text, photographs, illustrations, logos, fonts and other content supplied to us.
- You are responsible for permissions relating to people shown in photographs and for the lawful use of personal, confidential or sensitive information.
- We may refuse artwork that appears unlawful, defamatory, infringing, discriminatory, deceptive, unsafe or likely to expose HOLO Print to legal or reputational harm.
What our artwork checks cover
Automated preflight and staff review may check matters such as dimensions, page count, bleed, image resolution, embedded fonts, transparency, file access and obvious production risks.
Unless expressly purchased and confirmed, artwork checking is not proofreading, legal clearance, fact checking, brand checking or a guarantee that every design choice is suitable.
Proofs and approval
Review every proof carefully at a useful zoom and check spelling, dates, contact details, prices, QR codes, page order, folds, orientation, crop, quantities and all supplied content.
Approval authorises production of that revision. If you request a material change after approval, we may need to stop production, issue a new quotation or proof, and revise the deadline.
Never approve a proof because a deadline is close. Ask us to pause if anything is uncertain.
Colour, resolution and output differences
- RGB screens, office printers and mobile devices do not reproduce colour in the same way as commercial print.
- Standard production allows reasonable colour variation between devices, materials, print runs and finishing processes.
- Low-resolution, enlarged or compressed images may appear soft or pixelated. We may warn or block production where the risk is material, but customer-authorised exceptions remain the customer’s responsibility.
- Exact Pantone, spot-colour, colour-critical or contract-proof requirements must be agreed before ordering and may require a different process or charge.
Cutting, folding and finishing tolerances
Small movement can occur in cutting, folding, perforating, binding, mounting, lamination and other finishing. Keep important text and logos within the stated safe area and extend background artwork through the required bleed.
Borders close to a trim edge can make normal movement more visible. We may recommend removing or increasing them.
Design Studio and templates
Customer-edited templates and freeform Design Studio canvases remain subject to the same proof, rights, resolution, safe-area and production rules. Print-ready rendering and preflight reduce risk but do not replace customer approval or final staff production checks.
Artwork storage and reorders
Artwork and generated production files may be retained for order fulfilment, support, a reasonable reorder period, complaint handling and legal evidence. Storage is not a permanent archive service and a future file or exact reproduction is not guaranteed.
A reorder is priced and validated against the current catalogue. Materials, processes and appearance may differ from an earlier run unless exact matching requirements are agreed.
