About us and these terms
Tech and Print LTD trading as HOLO Print supplies printed goods, signage, display products, design support and related production services. Our contact details are sales@holoprint.co.uk, 020 3336 0322 and 54 Sidcup High Street, Sidcup, England, DA14 6EH, United Kingdom.
These terms apply to consumer and business orders unless a written quotation or contract expressly varies them. Mandatory consumer rights always take priority over any inconsistent term.
Products, quotations and order information
Product descriptions, sizes, materials, finishes, quantities, artwork requirements, turnaround choices and delivery options form part of your order. Please check them carefully before paying or accepting a quotation.
Images and samples illustrate the general appearance of a product. Paper, material, screen colour, manufacturing batches and finishing can create reasonable variations.
How a contract is formed
- Submitting an online order, approving a quotation or asking us to start bespoke work is an offer to buy the specified goods or services.
- An automated receipt may only confirm that we received your request. A contract is formed when we send an order confirmation, expressly accept the quotation, or begin work with your authority.
- We may decline an order before acceptance if a product is unavailable, pricing is clearly incorrect, artwork is unlawful or unsuitable, payment cannot be verified, or the specification cannot be produced safely.
- After a contract is formed, we will confirm the material terms in an email or another durable format that you can keep.
Prices, VAT and payment
The checkout or accepted quotation states the applicable product price, VAT treatment and delivery charge. Where a price depends on size, quantity or options, our server-authoritative calculation at checkout applies.
Card payments are processed by our payment provider. Bank-transfer orders are not released for production or dispatch until cleared funds are matched to the order. We may also agree cash or payment-link terms for specific orders.
If an obvious pricing or configuration error is discovered before production, we will contact you and give you the choice of confirming the corrected price or cancelling for a refund.
Artwork, proofs and approvals
- You must supply artwork that you are entitled to use and that complies with our artwork requirements.
- Automated checks and staff checks reduce production risk but do not transfer responsibility for spelling, dates, telephone numbers, addresses, quantities, orientation, content or design choices supplied or approved by you.
- Where a proof is supplied, production will not begin until the required approval is recorded. Approval authorises us to manufacture the approved version.
- Requested changes may affect price and turnaround. A new proof may be required after a material change.
Production and reasonable tolerances
Commercial print is subject to reasonable production tolerances, including small variations in colour, cutting, folding, position, finished size, quantity and material. We will not treat a variation as a defect where it is normal for the agreed process and does not materially affect the intended use.
Pantone, spot-colour, colour-critical, exact-finished-size or unusually tight tolerance requirements must be agreed in writing before production. A screen or office-printer preview is not a reliable colour contract.
Turnaround, delivery and collection
Production estimates normally begin only after cleared payment, usable artwork and any required proof approval. Delivery estimates are separate from production time.
We will use reasonable care to meet an agreed deadline and will tell you about a material delay. Unless a fixed date is expressly accepted in writing, dates shown online are estimates rather than guarantees.
The Delivery and Collection Policy forms part of these terms.
Changes and cancellation
Contact us immediately if you need to change or cancel an order. We will stop work where reasonably possible and explain any work or committed cost already incurred.
The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right generally does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised. It may apply to eligible standard, non-personalised goods. This does not affect rights relating to faulty, misdescribed or unfit goods.
Faults, reprints, returns and refunds
Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for a purpose made known and accepted. Services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill.
Tell us promptly about a suspected fault and keep the goods and packaging available for inspection. Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, the appropriate remedy may be correction, re-performance, reprint, replacement, price reduction or refund.
The Returns, Refunds and Cancellation Policy explains the practical process and forms part of these terms.
Intellectual property and customer content
You retain rights in artwork you supply. You grant us permission to copy, process, adapt and reproduce it only as needed to quote, proof, manufacture, deliver, support and evidence your order.
You confirm that supplied text, images, logos, fonts and designs do not infringe another person’s rights or break the law. We may refuse content that appears unlawful, harmful or deceptive.
Unless agreed otherwise, HOLO Print retains rights in original concepts, templates and design work that we create. Final usage or source-file rights may depend on the quotation and payment terms.
Responsibility and losses
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory statutory rights.
We are not responsible for an error that appears in artwork or a proof you supplied or approved, an unsuitable use you did not disclose, or a delay caused by missing approval, incorrect delivery information or an event outside our reasonable control.
For business customers, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss unless expressly agreed in writing. Any further limitation must be reasonable and consistent with applicable law.
Law, complaints and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. A consumer living elsewhere retains any mandatory rights and jurisdiction protections that apply to them.
Contact sales@holoprint.co.uk if you have a concern. Our Complaints Procedure explains the information to provide and how we review a complaint.
